There is no fast or easy way of getting skilled in treating patients using Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler – the only way is by starting at a point and practicing your skills by injecting as many patients as possible. However, as these are medical procedures you need detailed background information and instruction. There are no shortcuts.
During this course we will discuss the psychology of beauty and anti-aging, relevant anatomy, product specific information, injection techniques and theoretical aspects of treating/injecting the specific Basic course treatment areas. We will also highlight relevant ethical considerations applicable to Scope of Practice and Marketing of these procedures. We have also added a presentation by Ulundi Behrtel on important aspects of ethics and medico-legal considerations applicable to marketing etc.
Each Practitioner registered for the course will receive pre-course homework which would enable the doctor to arrive with Basic knowledge onto which we can build. We expect all doctors to commit to pre-course self-study of the materials we will supply.
The course is exciting and to many something totally new where they can use their medical training to serve the aesthetic and anti-aging expectations of their patients. We have been offering this course for more than 8 years and the quality of our course and trainers are well known through-out the industry.
- Botulinum toxin – Forehead, frown / glabella and laugh-lines (crows feet)
- Dermal filler – Mid-face/Cheek volumizing & the Peri-Oral Area
These treatment areas are included in the Basic course as it covers close to 80% of treatment requests for both these procedures and, in general, are the more safer areas to inject as trainee.
Theory presentations, injection technique practice and practical demonstrations.
Hands-on: Each Doctor injects his/her own patient/s under guidance of an expert trainer (one-on-one) with rest of the group observing and taking part in patient evaluations and discussions.
